The real cost of registering a company in Armenia
Most “company in Armenia for $1” headlines ignore the running costs. Here is the honest, complete picture for 2026 — setup and the recurring costs that follow.
Armenia is genuinely one of the cheapest places in the region to incorporate, but the registration fee is only part of the story. To budget properly you need to look at three buckets: one-off setup, recurring compliance, and optional services. Below is what each really costs.
1. One-off setup costs
| Item | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| LLC registration (1–3 persons) | $280 |
| Full registration package | $370 |
| Social number (now mandatory) | $80 |
| Bank account guidance | $250 |
The state registration fee for a standard LLC is effectively zero — what you pay covers document preparation, the legal address introduction, and getting everything filed correctly the first time. See our full company registration page for the breakdown.
2. Recurring costs
| Item | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| Accounting & tax filing | $83/month (or $249/quarter) |
| Legal address / virtual office | $500–$800 per year |
| Annual company renewal | $90–$180 |
Accounting is the cost people most often underestimate. Armenian companies must file monthly and annual returns, and penalties for missed or wrong filings are steep — so this is not optional. Our accounting service covers it from $83/month.
3. Change & one-off fees
If you later change shareholders, the share split, or the ownership structure, expect a government fee of roughly 70,000–100,000 AMD plus about $200 in service fees. It’s worth getting the structure right at registration to avoid these.
A realistic first-year budget
For a single-founder LLC that needs a company, social number, bank account and full-year accounting, a realistic first-year total lands around $1,300–$1,800 depending on whether you take a virtual office and quarterly vs monthly accounting. That is still well below Turkey or most EU options.
